Guest Questions

Do you have accommodations on site?
No, we do not have rooms on site, but there are hotels in Salem, NH: La Quinta Inn, Holiday Inn, and the Artisan Hotel at Tuscan Village. All are about 10-minute drive to the castle.
Is the Castle open to the public?
Unfortunately, no. Searles Castle is privately owned and is not open to the public.
Can I come up and take some pictures?
Searles Castle is private property. If you would like to book a photo session, please call the sales office for information on pricing and availability – 603.898.6597
What is the address of the castle and how do I get there?
23 Searles Road
Windham, NH 03087

From North of Windham: Take 93 South. Take exit 3 and turn left onto Rte 111-E. Continue on 111-E for 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Searles Road (you will see St. Matthew’s Church on the corner of 111-E and Searles Road). Turn left after approximately 1 mile (you will see a large red sign indicating the Searles Castle entrance). The guest parking lot is on the right.

From South of Windham: Take 93 North. Take exit 3 and turn right onto Rte 111-E. Continue on 111-E for 1.2 miles. Do you provide a shuttle for transportation?
Upon guest arrival, we have a parking attendant in the guest parking lot showing you where to park. We do also provide a complimentary shuttle from the guest lot to the ceremony and reception area. The shuttle starts running 30 minutes before the ceremony start time.

Event Questions

Can we put a temporary hold on a date?
Yes! We can hold a date for up to 7 days after you have come in to see the venue
Can I bring my own caterer?
All the food is done through our exclusive caterer, Simply Elegant Catering. You can bring in additional desserts from a licensed baker if you wish.
Do you offer menu tastings?
Yes. Tastings are by invitation only for our booked couples.
What is the maximum capacity for a wedding?
Our in-season (mid-April until mid-November) has a maximum capacity of 250. Our off-season has a maximum capacity of 72.
Are there any minimums?
Yes, for Fridays and Sundays there is a guest count minimum of 100. Saturdays has a guest count minimum of 125. Mondays through Thursdays has a guest count minimum of 50. Please contact the sales team for off-season minimums.
Are there any “hidden” fees that aren’t listed on the brochure?
We’re committed to keeping our pricing clear and straightforward. You’ll find all of our rates in the brochure. Please note that prices do not include tax or gratuity; an 8.5% NH Rooms and Meals Tax, 20% gratuity for waitstaff, and 10% gratuity for bartenders will apply.
What is the latest a wedding reception can end?
Due to town noise restrictions, all events need to end by 11pm.
